Design Hero Booklet
Vaughan Oliver
Growing up, I was a major Pixies fan as I couldn't get enough of their sound; as I listened to these records, I would stare endlessly at the album covers corresponding to the song and was amazed at how much the two were intertwined with each other. These memories helped establish a passion for graphic art as I too wanted to dive deep into this art form and design images that carried a magnitude of meanings and emotions. This dive into the genre is the reason I am who I am.

Process
While working through this project, I wanted to reflect on the principles that Vaughan Oliver was known for and challenge myself to explore different mediums and dive deep into the process. Using markers to handwrite raw and textured titles, to then creating a theme of English textures by taking scans of a burnt egg I cooked on my frying pan and a picture of a teabag used in washing down the burnt taste I "Trancended Mediocrity" by turning something Crude and Bold into a sleek booklet dedicated to showcasing the style and work of Vaughan Oliver.
